ON SITE ESTIMATES are valuable to you as the customer and to us in serving you. This is your opportunity
to ask every question you have regarding packing, the moving process and storage, if necessary. We are able
to discuss your concerns and personal needs face to face. Remember, your estimate is only as good as the
information that is given. Preparation is essential for a good move and cost efficiency. Planning
your move will eliminate “some” of the extra stress; we are only a telephone call away- call on our experience
often.
CLOTHING WARDROBES are standard equipment on
our trucks, there is no extra charge for their use. Wardrobes are brought the morning of the move and brought
back at the end of your move.
SMALL AND MEDIUM BOXES
are available for our customers at a lease-deposit cost, we recycle. Other non-recyclable materials are
on hand for purchase- unprinted newsprint, tape and more!
PACKING IS ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING
ASPECTS OF YOUR MOVE.
Invest
and use unprinted paper to prevent ink stains and scratches. Wrap items in unprinted paper, crumble newspaper to cushion the bottom
of your box, layer packed items, and top off with more crumbled paper. All boxes should be packed tight- no rattling! Build layers within the box, heavy
items on the bottom, tapering to lighter items on top. Tape the bottom and top of all boxes- remember everything is stacked on
the truck. Label
the TOP OF THE BOX. USE
SMALL BOXES FOR breakables, collectibles, dishes, crystal, tools, groceries, books, records, tapes, CDs and desk stuff. USE MEDIUM BOXES FOR pots, pans, small
appliances, shoes, toys linens. USE
LARGE BOXES FOR lamps, lamp shades, toys, bedding, and kids stuff. SORT THE WORST FIRST! Start in your basement, attic and crawl
space. Use three boxes, one for trash, one for giveaways and one for keepers-pack as you go. Do not double handle. Label clearly. SAVE old blankets, towels and linens.
Wrap and roll lamps, artwork and other fragile items. PACK ALL remote controls separately- put them where you will find them. USE LUGGAGE to pack non-breakables. AEROSOLS, FLAMMABLES, COMBUSTIBLES,
COMPRESSED GAS AND PROPANE TANKS DO NOT GO ON THE TRUCK.
